General

Is there a cash point on site?
A cash point is located in Reception on Beverley Park, however this cashpoint may not accept some non-UK debit cards, and does charge for cash withdrawals.

Is swimming time limited?
During busy times, length of stay may be restricted. An adults only session is available every morning and evening. Opening times are displayed on site, but are subject to change.

My friends live in the area, can they visit us?
Friends and family are more than welcome to visit you in your accommodation, but they will not be allowed to use the facilities on site.

Is the site accessible for all, and can wheelchairs be hired?
Yes. We have Wheelchair friendly units and the Clubroom and restaurants are wheelchair accessible. A disabled shower and toilet facility is also available. Please ask in Reception for the key. The Red Cross provide a hire service for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and medical equipment. Contact them on 0845 331 3331 with your holiday dates and location to arrange delivery.

Is there a 24 hour service?
Reception is open all day from 8:30am. Night porters are on duty throughout the night, and can be contacted on 01803 661926.

Is there public transport available from the park?
Yes. A frequent bus service runs from just outside the park to Brixham, Paignton and Torquay. During Peak season a mini bus service also runs from the parks into Paignton town centre. Please visit reception for timetables for both of these services.

How do I report lost property?
Contact Beverley Park reception on 01803 843887 to report any lost property.

Can we have a barbecue?
Barbecues are permitted, but we ask you not to place them directly onto the ground, decking or picnic benches. Please dispose of them responsibly.

What is the smoking policy on the parks and in the holiday accommodation?
We operate a no smoking policy throughout all our accommodation and facility buildings as well as around the outdoor swimming pool.

I am having some problems, who should I contact?
Should a problem occur, please contact reception and we will rectify the situation as soon as possible.

Are Pets allowed?
No pets are allowed on any of our sites. We do accept Registered Support dogs.

When are the parks open?
The 2011 season is 9th April-29th October. The 2012 Season is 31st March- 27th October. Please check the facilities section of the website for individual opening dates. Meadowside Lodges, Beverley Park Touring and the Oasis Leisure Centre are open all year round.

What activities are included?
Swimming and entertainment passes are included when booked directly through Beverley Holidays. There will be a small fee for other activities such as tennis and crazy golf.

Are the facilities / activities available all year round?
Facilities such as the swimming pools, tennis court, crazy golf and entertainment are available throughout the main season, but do close for the winter. Please check our website or brochure to confirm opening times and dates. The indoor pool in the Oasis Centre is open all year round.

Do you have WiFi?
Yes, WiFi is available on site. Prepaid cards are available from Reception. WiFi is complementary if staying in the Meadowside Lodges.

What time can I check-in?
For Holiday Caravans and Meadowside Lodges check-in is from 3pm. For Touring and Camping check-in from 12pm. If you arrive on site earlier than your check-in time, we can give you your entertainment and swimming passes so you can use the facilities until it is time for you to go to your accommodation.
Holiday Caravans

Do you have wheelchair friendly units?
Yes. Both Beverley and Ashvale parks have a Wheelchair friendly unit with access ramps, and a dedicated parking space right outside.

Are there irons and ironing boards in the caravans?
No. Irons and Ironing board can however be found in the Laundry Room.

Do I need to bring towels?
Yes. Towels are not provided, but can be hired from Reception.

Can we hire cots, pushchairs and highchairs?
Yes. We can hire travel cots, pushchairs and highchairs for a £10 charge. Please be aware that due to the design of most caravans, travel cots are only able to fit into the living room of the accommodation.

Will there be heating in the caravan?
All caravans have electric panel heating, as well as an electric fire in the living room.

Is there parking next to the caravans?
It depends on the park. Not all caravans have parking directly outside, but there will ample parking nearby. If you have a special requirement, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Can I request a caravan?
If the caravan is available at the time of booking, we will do our best to ensure you are in the requested unit.

Do any of the caravans have sea views?
Some caravans do, but we are unable to guarantee sea views.

Is all the cooking equipment included and will there be a microwave?
Yes. All caravans come with pots, pans, utensils, cutlery etc. All caravans also have fridge, oven, hob and microwave.

What day do holidays start, and how many nights can I stay?
Our arrival days are Friday, Saturday and Monday. You can stay for a break (Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday) or for full weeks commencing on the stated arrival days. The maximum stay is 3 weeks. However our Express caravans have no minimum stay and can be booked for single nights.

The check in time for caravans is 3pm. On the day of departure, accommodation must be vacated by 10am.
Holiday Home Sales

Could we sublet our holiday home?
We allow subletting on our Meadowside and Ashvale Parks. A 20% commision is payable if a booking is made by Beverley Holidays. Additionally, there is a charge for key handover, cleaning and linen at £40 for a caravan and £60 for a lodge.

Could we add decking?
Decking can be added on some of the caravan plots. Decking is to be fitted only by contractors approved by Beverley Holidays, and is required to be purchased through Beverley Holidays.

Can I bring my pet?
We do not accept pets on any of our sites, but we do accept Registered Support Dogs.

Do I need a TV licence?
If you currently have a TV licence at your home address, you are covered by this when using your holiday home, as long as you sign a declaration form with the TV licensing company to say that you will not watch TV in both places at the same time!

Can I finance my holiday home?
Yes, there are a number of companies that offer finance packages for holiday homes, and we recommend Roy Scot Larch. However, as with everything, it is important to 'shop around' to find the best deal for you.

How much deposit do I need to pay?
Holiday homes require a 10% deposit of the total price of the holiday home or £1000, whichever is higher. The remaining balance is due one month before ownership starts. If you wish to purchase a show home, we can accept the deposit while finances are being arranged.

If I buy a holiday home, can I live in it?
Holiday homes are for holiday use only and cannot be used for residental purposes. Holiday homes are available for use from 15 March to end of October on Ashvale and Hillside, and for 11 months on Meadowside.

Do I own the land?
No, you are buying your holiday home, and the right to use the plot on the park, providing that you adhere to the park rules and pay the annual site fees.

How long is the licence?
The licence period is 15 years at Hillside and Ashvale, and 35 years at Meadowside.

Do I need to insure my holiday home?
Yes. We recommend that you purchase buildings and contents cover on a new for old basis.

Does my holiday home come with a warranty?
Yes. Different items in the holiday home come with different warranties. Please ask for specific details.

Who is responsible for the maintenance of my holiday home?
The responsibility is yours. We maintain the public areas of the park, and can assist if required, however there will be a charge for this.

What if I want to sell my holiday home?
When it comes to selling your holiday home, 15% commission will be payable to Beverley Holidays.

Does the pitch fee include gas & electric?
No, the pitch fee does not cover electric and gas usage. Electricity is charged annually at the standard supplier rate. Gas bottles are charged for as required. However water is included.

What facilities can we use?
All facilities on Beverley Park and Ashvale are available for you to use, subject to opening dates and times.
Lodges

What time can I arrive?
The check in time for lodges is 3pm. On the day of departure, accommodation must be vacated by 10am.

Is linen included with the lodges?
Yes, linen is included. All beds are made for you prior to your arrival.

Do I need to bring towels?
If you are staying in the Oystercatcher lodge, towels are included. Towels are not supplied with the Sandpiper and Kingfisher lodges, but can be hired from Reception.

Can I request a particular lodge?
If available at time of booking, we will do our best to ensure you are in the requested accommodation.

Will I be next to my friends or relatives?
If requested, we will do our best to ensure you are next to or as near as possible to your friends and relatives.

Will there be heating in the lodge?
Yes. All lodges have heating throughout.

Are there irons and ironing boards in the lodges?
Yes. All lodges come with an iron and ironing board. A laundrette facility is also available on Meadowside.

Is there parking next to the lodges?
Not all lodges have parking directly outside, but there is ample parking throughout the park.

Can I hire a travel cot, highchair or pushchair?
Yes. We can hire travel cots, highchairs and pushchairs for a £10 charge. Please be aware that due to the design of the lodge, travel cots are only able to fit into the hallway or living room of the accommodation.

How far away is the swimming pool and other facilities from the lodges?
When staying on the Meadowside site you are able to use the facilities located on Beverley Park and Ashvale. These are a short walk from the Lodges via an accessible pathway.

Does it come with patio furniture?
All lodges have an outside deck with table and chairs. Barbecues are permitted, but these must not be placed directly onto the ground or decking and must be disposed of responsibly.

Making A New Booking

Do you offer a Cancellation Plan?
Yes. Our cancellation plan is £3 a night for lodges, £2 per night for Caravans and £1 per night for Touring and Camping. The cancellation plan must be taken out at the time of booking, and covers you up to 24 hours before your holiday is due to commence, for redundancy, jury service, accident, injury, pregnancy, illness or death of a member of the party or close relative. We guarantee to return the full amount of deposit and balance paid to Beverley Holidays under this plan. Please see terms and conditions for further information.

How much is the deposit, and when do I pay the remaining balance?
The deposit for camping and touring is £50 per week, for caravans £70 per week and lodges £90 per week. The full balance is due 28 days before arrival. If the arrival commences less than 28 days from the booking date or if the total cost of holiday is less then the required deposit, you will be asked to pay the full balance upon booking.

Will I receive a confirmation in the post?
We aim to be enviromentally friendly, and in an effort to reduce our paper usage, where possible we will email your booking confirmation to you, unless otherwise requested.

Do you charge for paying by credit card?
There is no additional charge for payments using debit or credit cards.

Do I still get my previous customer discount when booking online?
When making your booking online you can still get your 5% previous customer discount. In the charges section, enter 'PV' into the Discount Code box.

How can I amend my holiday?
Call us on 01803 843887 or email us if you need to amend your booking. Please quote your booking number in all correspondence.

How can I cancel my booking?
We require all cancellations to be given in writing. Please see your terms and conditions.

How can I pay for my holiday?
We accept debit or credit card payments, and you can pay online or over the phone. We also accept cheques if received 28 days prior to the date the holiday commences.

Who can I contact about my Sun holiday?
Call us on 01803 843887 to arrange upgrades. If you need to change the dates of your Sun booking please contact the Sun Helpline on 01206 225102.

I've just made an online booking but it the status says 'unconfirmed' - What does this mean?
All online bookings are checked by our reservations team before they are confirmed. Once the booking has been checked, the status will change to 'confirmed' and an email is sent to the email address you provided. The status of all online bookings will be updated with 24 hours of booking.

Why is my online booking status 'Cancelled'?
If no payment is received with an online booking the booking will be automatically cancelled.

I booked my holiday over the telephone, can I view this booking online?
No, only bookings made through the Beverley Holidays website can be viewed online.
Touring & Camping

Do you take tents?
We accept tents on non electric and electric pitches. When booking we will need to know the approximate size of your tent to ensure we put you on an appropriate pitch.

What type and length of cable do I need?
You will need an standard outdoor 16 amp/240v Mains electric cable for all Electric, Service and Premium Service pitches.You may need up to 15 metres length. A 10 metre water hose and waste pipe is required for Service and Premium Service pitches. These are available from all good camping shops.

Is there an additional charge for water and electric?
No. There is no additional charge for water and electric.

Are pitches hard standing?
We have hard standing electric pitches available, and all service and premium service pitches are hard standing.

What is the difference between Service and Premium Service pitches?
Both Service and Premium service pitch are hard standing, with water, drainage and electric. Premium pitches are slightly larger.

Are there hair dryers?
Yes. Hair dryers are available in the amenity blocks.

Is there somewhere to plug my hair straighteners in?
Yes. Power sockets are available in the amenity blocks.

Can I request a pitch number?
Yes. If the pitch is available at the time of booking and is the correct size for your unit we will do our best to ensure you are on the requested pitch.

What are the arrival and departure times?
Arrival time for camping and touring pitches is from 12pm. All pitches must be vacated by 10am on day of departure.

Where can I park my car?
All pitches have space to park one car. Please park any additional vehicles in the main car park. We do not accept commercial vehicles.

Can I book more than one pitch?
We ask that all pitches are booked under the name of the person or persons staying on the pitch. If booking more than one pitch, please provide individual names and addresses. We do not accept group bookings.

How many people can I have staying on my pitch?
We allow a maximum of 6 people per pitch.

Can I put up a pup tent or gazebo?
Pup tents and gazebos are allowed on the majority of our pitches for an additional nightly charge. Please see our current price list.

Can I put my awning up?
An Awning can be put up on the majority of our pitches for an additional nightly charge. Please see our current price list.

I have a 25ft caravan, will I fit on your site?
The maximum unit size we can accommodate is 28ft/8.5m. However you will have to go onto a serviced pitch. Please let us know the size to ensure we allocate a suitable pitch.

Do any of the pitches have sea views?
Some pitches do have sea views, but this cannot be guaranteed.

How old do I have to be to book a holiday, and do you accept single sex parties?
As a family park we regret that, except in some circumstances, bookings cannot be accepted from single sex parties or groups under the age of 21.

I'm booking a pitch for a tent/tourer, do you need to know the size of it?
Yes. As all our pitches are different shapes and sizes, if you can let us know the approximate size of your tent or tourer at the time of booking it will help us to allocate you the correct size pitch.
