We’ll ignore the obvious of a tent and we’ll also be leaving the digital devices at home. Check out our must have list below and get ready to join us on the English Riviera for a sea view camping stay.
1. Sleeping Bags
First on our list is one almost as obvious as the tent itself… Sleeping bags. They’re important for a great night’s sleep so make sure you get ones that will keep you warm. Even in the height of summer it can be a bit chilly when the sun goes down.
2. Camping Chairs
It’s a good idea to have a place to sit other than the ground or inside your tent. Camping chairs are a great option and make it easy to sit out and gather together while you enjoy a drink.
3. Beach Towel & Swimsuit
Whether for a trip down to our many nearby local beaches or for a splash about in our outdoor or indoor swimming pool, don’t forget to pack your beach towel and swimsuit.
4. Sun Cream
Sun cream is essential for the summer months in South Devon when you’re spending most of your day outside and remember to keep reapplying too, especially after a summer swim in our outdoor swimming pool.
A camera is a must when camping in Devon at Beverley Holidays. Not only to capture the stunning sea views that our many camping pitches enjoy but also those happy holiday snaps to look back on and reminisce over in years to come.
6. Refillable Water Bottles
We have use of fresh running water at many locations on our camping fields so make sure you bring along some refillable water bottles. You don’t want to get dehydrated and they can also come in handy for those day trips out exploring the English Riviera.
7. Bring Some Games
As much as there’s a great number of activities and facilities to enjoy on our holiday park, it’s always a good idea to bring some games with you too. Whether it be a board game or a bat and ball to play rounders. They’re a great way of having fun family time.
8. A Torch
A torch or a battery powered lantern is important to see exactly where you’re going. Essential kit as you make your way to the toilet in the middle of the night when nature calls.
9. Wet Weather Gear
While sunny South Devon has more than its fair share of sunshine, it does rain occasionally. Keep a check on the weather during your stay and be prepared if there’s a chance of a shower. Otherwise, you might have to spend the rest of the day in wet cloths and no on likes that.
10. A Plan
If the weather isn’t looking too great its good to have a backup plan. If you’re after ideas for rainy day activities, our blog post below can help you out…
