Beverley Holidays brought out the bunting once again to celebrate The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning with a Mad Mascot Tea Party on Friday 25 September 2015.

The family run holiday park played host to mascots from top local attractions such as Kents Cavern, Woodlands and Pennywell Farm for tea and homemade cake in aid of charity.

The event raised £600.10 for Macmillan Cancer Support and featured a Mascot Bake-Off enjoyed by holiday guests and local residents alike, plus students from White Rock School.

Beverley’s mascots Beverley Bear and Sandy Starfish flexed their baking skills when they went head to head with Kents Caverns’ Cavog The Caveman and Pennywell’s Pippa The Pig.

The Mad Mascots Tea Party also saw Woodlands’ Hero swap his cape for an apron for the Bake-Off challenge, alongside mascots from Exmoor Zoo and Torquay United.

Judging of the Mascot Bake-Off took place with an esteemed panel including editor of the Herald Express Jim Parker and Anne Blackham from Devon’s Top Attractions.

Staff from Beverley Holidays put on a beautiful spread of homemade treats, plus there was a Beverley Holidays Photo Booth courtesy of Bayview Photography, raffle and much more.

Beverley Holidays Marketing Director, Claire Jeavons, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to all the mascots who helped us raise both smiles and a stack of cash for charity with our Mad Mascot Tea Party for Macmillan.

“The Beverley Holidays team did an excellent job baking lots of delicious home-made cakes and a huge thank you everyone who dug deep in their pockets to donate to this very worthy cause and helped make this our biggest coffee morning ever!”
