It’s that lovely dovey time again when we buy our loved ones valentine’s card and chocolate hearts, or even pack up a couple of bags and take a little road trip down to seaside towns in Sunny South Devon. With Valentine’s Day next Tuesday, we thought we give you some tips on where the best romantic locations are in Torbay, making it the perfect valentine’s getaway.
1. Romantic Walks

The scenery is magnificent when you board a steam train on the Dartmouth Steam Railway – perfect for those romantic days with your better half. From Paignton to the stations of Goodrington and Churston, then on through to bordering the Dart Estuary, Greenway and on to Kingswear there are breathtaking views right from the comfort of the steam train’s seats. Along the way you have a chance to spot some of our local wildlife from kingfishers to buzzards, pheasants and herons to the seasife life of dolphins and seals.

Agatha Christie was also known for writing six stories about love – perfect for the staff of Greenway House to read to all their guests visiting this valentines. The storytellers will be reading excerpts from Agatha’s fantastic work in the house kitchen, where people will be able to buy an afternoon tea whilst they listen.
