Aqua Antics:

The stunning South Devon seas play host to a wealth of seafaring fun this May Bank Holiday, with Aqua Adrenaline 2014 (24-26 May) kicking off the action with Zapcat Racing and The British Raceboat Championship taking place from the waterfront in Torquay (10am-5pm). Following in its white-water wake is the OCRDA Powerboat Racing (23-26 May) which offers visitors to Torbay the chance to watch boats and its crew battle it out from various viewpoints along the coast.

Festival Fun:

The festival season is well and truly in full swing, with the Geopark Festival (24-30 May) celebrating the English Riviera’s very own UNESCO-recognised Global Geopark with kayaking, fossil hunts, rockpool safaris and much more. The famous fishing town of Brixham jumps on the bandwagon when BrixFest returns (24-28 May). This free family-festival will see shop fronts decorated in a 1940s theme, plus live music and fabulous fishy treats topped off with an unforgettable fireworks display.

Amazing Animals:

If creatures both great and small take your fancy, Paignton Zoo has just the thing! Head along this May Bank Holiday Weekend and you’ll find a host of creepy crawlies taking centre stage to celebrate the launch of its new invertebrate exhibit ‘Investigate’. Meet the Zoo’s weird and wonderful collection of bugs, take part in workshops, have you face painted or just go and explore all the wonderful furry friends that call Paignton Zoo ‘home’ (24-30 May).
