Staff from our family run holiday parks were put through their baking paces in a charity bake-off to mark the annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Wednesday 28 September 2016.
Receptionists, entertainers and other members of our holiday park’s team battled it out in the kitchen for the title of Beverley’s Star Baker, raising £290 for Macmillan in cake sales.
Their brilliant bake-off creations were judged by TorbayMacmillanvolunteers Stephen Edwards and Valerie, coupled with Simon Waugh from White Rock Festival Of Learning.
The scrumptious spread of home-made cakes were served up to hungry coffee morning attendees including students from White Rock Primary School and holiday park guests.
Beverley’s very own entertainment team wowed the visiting crowds with an exclusive performance of their Once Upon A Time show featuring songs inspired by Frozen.
Macmillan volunteer Stephen Edwards said “We had a brilliant time judging Beverley’s bake off. The team did an excellent job baking lots of delicious home-made cakes all in the name of charity, raising both smiles and stacks of cash for Macmillan Cancer Support.”
Marketing Director Claire Jeavons said: “ We would like to say a huge thank you to all those who dug deep in their pockets to buy a cake and donate to this very worthy cause, and a big well done to the Beverley team on their brilliant bake-off entries.”
