Halloween Haunt 1 - Berry Pomeroy Castle
Located just a short distance from Totnes, Berry Pomeroy Castle is a 15th century ruin which is said to be haunted by two ladies - the ‘white lady' and the ‘blue’. The 'white lady' is said to be the ghost of Margaret Pomeroy who was held captive in the castle's dungeons by her own sister.
Take a trip to the castle which is open daily from 10am - 5pm until November and you might have an errie encounter of your own!
Halloween Haunt 2 - Torre Abbey Historic House & Gardens
Originally founded as a Monastery in 1196, Torre Abbey is Torquay’s oldest building, having witnessed, survived and played a role in some epic moments of history. It’s also one of the best surviving medieval monastries in Devon and so has had plenty of time to acquire a resident ghost or two. Its ‘Spanish Barn’, for example, is said to be home to ‘The Spanish Lady’ who according to local legend roams the barn in search of her lost love.
Be brave a head down to Torre Abbey House from 10am - 5pm on Wednesdays - Sunday throughout winter.
Halloween Haunt 3 - Paignton Zoo
Head along to Paignton Zoo Environmental Park until October 31 for some spook-tacular halloween fun. Walk its trick or treat trail, take a ride on the ghost train and listen to spooky animal talks. There’s also slime workshops, bug eating challenges and much more!

Halloween Haunt 4 - Kents Cavern – 28 October
Brave the cave on 28 October with a seriously spooky ghost show in the dark and ancient setting of Kents Cavern. Make your way around the dimly lit caves and hear stories of the supernatural... you never know what might appear from the darkness!
