Here at Beverley Holidays we are enjoying a fantastic week of Eurovision celebration in the lead up to the May Spring Bank Holiday and Half Term. We can’t wait to see all of our guests enjoying the fantastic line up of entertainment starting this weekend. We have created a list of top 5 things to do in Torbay this May Half Term to help make your special family getaway a memorable one.

Brixfest 2015

1. Family Fun at Beverley Holidays:

Are you dreaming of a sunny seaside escape this May? Beverley Bear and Sandy Starfish will be kicking off your holiday fun with party dances and games this Friday. Bank Holiday Weekend highlights include The Party Show, Rock The Room Gameshow, Cash Bingo, Family Sports, Star Cabarets, Scavenger Hunt and many more – not forgetting Monday’s action packed Pool Party! 2. BrixFest 2015:

Head down to Brixham for three fun packed days celebrating the town’s history. Highlights include art and craft displays, live cooking demonstrations, markets, a petting zoo, a crabbing competition and live music.

The grand firework display will take place over the harbour on Saturday evening at 9.50pm, with the huge headline act – The Yakovlevs Aerobatic Display Team taking to the skies at 3pm on Sunday. Saturday 23rd, Sunday 24th and Monday 25th May 2015. See the BrixFest website for more details.

3. Geopark Festival 2015:

Explore the English Riviera, the UNESCO-recognised Global Geopark with the Geopark Festival this May Half Term. Visit Kents Cavern for fun underground family activities, learning about the history, exploration and discovery of the Geopark. See how raw materials became handmade crafts at Cockington Court Craft Centre. Search for the stars and learn of local geology at Torquay Museum. 4. ORDA Power Boat Racing in Torquay:

Do you have a need for speed? Watch the annual power boat racing event at Haldon Pier on Torquay Seafront this Bank Holiday weekend. Choose your watch point in the sun, treat your family to an ice cream and cheer on your favourite with more than 20 teams taking part. Saturday 23rd May 11.30am to 4.30pm and Sunday 24th May 10am to 4.30pm. Weather dependant.

5. Dartington Food Fair:

Visit the beautiful village of Dartington and pop along to their food fair this weekend to sample some of the region’s finest produce. The fair will include pizza making, demonstrations, local craft stands, competitions, a free prize draw, face painting, a cider bar, live music and not forgetting over 50 local producers. Why not take a walk around Dartington Hall whilst you’re there? Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May 2015, 10am to 5pm.
