The Summer School Holidays are upon us and there’s so much going on around South Devon. Here’s our top 5 things to do in the English Riviera this August!

Paignton Harbour Festival

1. Paignton Harbour Festival – 5 – 6 August

Head along to Paignton Harbour Festival, a fantastic free festival which includes entertainment and activities for the whole family. There’ll be art and craft stalls, food and drink, live bands, children’s activities, boat and fishing trips and much more.

Plus, keep an eye out for our Beverley Holidays Entertainment Team who’ll be performing along with our two park mascots Beverley Bear and Sandy Starfish.

Paignton Regatta

2. Paignton Regatta – 6 – 14 August

Paignton Regatta is 9 days of seaside fun and provides a hugely varied programme of events and entertainment on Paignton Green. The event also includes Torbay’s biggest firework display which takes place on Thursday 11 August at 9:30pm.

The Beverley Holidays Entertainment Team and our two park mascots will again be performing throughtout the event so be sure to check them out wowing the crowds on the main stage.

Childrens week

3. Children’s Week – 15 – 20 August

Children’s week provides 6 days of fun and entertainment for the whole family on Paignton Green and includes a jam-packed programme of entertainment including a graffiti art workshop, Harry Potter creative workshop, a messy obstacle course, a water fight against Paignton Fire Service and much more.

There’s appearances from famous movie cars including Disney’s Lightning McQueen and there’s also a light sabre academy on Sci Fi day so there really is something for everyone.

Dartmouth Regatta

4. Dartmouth Regatta – 25 – 27 August

The Dartmouth Regatta is one of the biggest public events in the South West and is based around a programme of rowing and sailing events. It also includes air displays, fireworks, a large fair and a host of other fun-filled events.

Rio Olympics

5. 2016 Rio Olympics – 5 – 21 August

It’s the long awaited start of the 2016 Rio Olympics this month and you can watch Team GB’s Olympic hopefuls going for gold with our live screenings here at Beverley Holidays.

We’ve also got regular Sports Academy activities taking place at our parks this month for all the budding sports stars of the future.
