About the Role
As an Electrician, you will play a key role within the Maintenance and Grounds team to ensure our holiday park operates safely, efficiently, and seamlessly for our customers and team. Your responsibilities will span installations, maintenance, fault-finding, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of SWA cables, distribution boards, and lighting.
- Connect and commission holiday caravans and lodges.
- Maintain and repair electrical systems in facilities, accommodations, and estates.
- Install and maintain CCTV and data networks.
- Conduct PAT testing and manage the company electrical plan.
- Stay compliant with BS 7671 regulations and the Electricity at Work Act 1989.
- Risk-assess all tasks to ensure safety.
- Monitor stock levels and support the Estates Manager with budgeting and material orders.
- Ensure fire and intruder alarms are functioning and liaise with external monitoring companies.
- Provide exceptional service to both internal teams and customers, ensuring minimal disruption during repairs.
- Act as an ambassador for the company and promote the company at all times.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the department and company.
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the business, which may include some weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Education, Training, and Experience
- NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition Qualification
- 2391-52 Inspection & Testing Qualification
- Previous experience in commercial electrical maintenance preferred
- Up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety practices
- Basic understanding of electrical circuitry
Disposition and Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and quality of work
- Must have own hand tools
- To have a Clean, Full driving licence
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
