About the Estates Supervisor Role
As the Estates Supervisor, you will take full accountability for the daily operations and management of the Grounds and Maintenance teams across the park, to produce excellent standards of service for our guests and holiday home owners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and develop the Grounds and Maintenance teams, including rotas, reviews, inductions and training plans.
- Add jobs, distribute and prioritise tasks to the team from the online job book, ensuring job deadlines are met.
- Prepare and distribute daily job lists by 8:45 am, and brief the team daily.
- Ensure all completed jobs are accurately logged and follow up on all outstanding tasks.
- Working with the Estates Administrator, order necessary parts within budget and required timescales.
- Oversee snagging and job completion post-handover.
- Liaise with the Reservations team, Reception, and Head of Operations regarding unit availability.
- Oversee general grounds maintenance, including bin emptying, and the upkeep of garden areas, hedges, and pathways.
- Maintain a regular schedule of grass cutting and strimming to high standards.
- Supervise touring arrivals and departures, ensuring the team is available to guide tourers to their pitches
- Oversee hot tub testing, maintenance, and cleaning schedules to ensure compliance.
- Oversee the ordering and distributing of gas.
- Deputise for the Estates Manager when required.
- Ensure maintenance stores are tidy, safe, and well-organised.
- Assist with staff recruitment and training.
- Carry out basic maintenance and groundwork as needed.
- Any other duties as required by your team leader and management team to ensure the smooth running of the department and company
Education, Training, and Experience
- Previous experience in maintenance and grounds work.
- Good knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general DIY tasks.
- Experience in supervising, developing and leading a team.
- Proficiency in safe use of machinery.
- Strong IT skills for job tracking and reporting.
- Experience in a customer-focused environment.
