About the Role
As the Grounds and Maintenance Supervisor, you will take full accountability for the daily operations and management of the Grounds and Maintenance team across all parks, to produce excellent standards of service for our guests and owners.
Key Responsibilities
- Line management responsibility for the Grounds and Maintenance team, including preparing rotas, inducting new staff, conducting regular reviews, completing annual appraisals, approving time off requests, managing sickness absences, ensuring training and development plans are in place, and providing uniforms and PPE.
- Distribute jobs from the online job book effectively, prioritizing high-priority jobs to meet deadlines.
- Ensure daily job lists for the Grounds and Maintenance team are ready by 8:45 am.
- Document completed jobs accurately in the online system, Prophet, and investigate outstanding jobs.
- Order necessary parts within budget and required timescales to complete jobs.
- Oversee snagging and job completion post-handover.
- Liaise with the Reservations team, Directors, and the Head of Operations regarding unit availability concerns due to outstanding jobs.
- Oversee general grounds maintenance, including emptying bins, litter picking, and upkeep of garden areas, plants, hedges, and gravel paths.
- Maintain a regular schedule of grass cutting and strimming to high standards.
- Supervise daily touring arrival and departure movements, ensuring the touring list is produced daily, and the team is available to guide tourers to their pitches.
- Accountable for the daily hot tub testing, empty/fill program, and ensuring compliance and new check-in requirements are met.
- Arrange and distribute the schedule of hot tub cleans to the Hot Tub Assistants, ensuring maintenance is upheld to the highest standards.
- Deputize for the Estates Manager in their absence.
- Keep maintenance and grounds stores tidy and uncluttered.
- Assist the Estates Manager with staff recruitment.
- Perform basic maintenance and groundwork as required to support the team.
- Education, Training, and Experience
- Previous experience in maintenance and grounds work.
- Good knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general DIY tasks.
- Experience in supervising and leading a team.
- Experience with the safe use of machinery.
- Good IT skills.
- Experience in a customer-focused environment.
