The group comprises of three holiday parks including Beverley Park, Beverley Bay and Beverley View, which operate under the Beverley Holidays brand.
About the Role
To take full accountability for the day to day running of the Housekeeping department on all parks. To include ensuring that all accommodation, entertainment facilities and toilet/shower facilities are cleaned to an excellent standard.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- To implement and maintain a consistent delivery of superior cleaning service across all parks in line with set standards and budgets.
- To be responsible for recruitment within the housekeeping department and carrying out the shortlisting and interviewing process (liaising with the Head of People).
- To arrange work schedules, training and continuous professional development for the housekeeping team.
- To effectively lead, manage, train and develop the housekeeping team to ensure a smooth operational running and exceptional standards are adhered to.
- To conduct regular employment reviews and meetings with direct reportees, dealing with any performance issues as required.
- To be accountable for adhering to the wages budget and ensuring that cost effective rotas are prepared at least one month in advance and communicated to the team. To check weekly and monthly timesheets against staff rotas and ensure they are provided to payroll on time.
- To be accountable for the condition of accommodation and facilities, liaise with the Estates Manager where issues are identified, and being proactive with suppliers in pricing for refurbishments.
- To set up procedures and quality checklists for accommodation and facilities and ensure that these are adhered to.
- To work with the Holiday Home Sales team and Estates to ensure that holiday home handovers are undertaken in a timely manor and to a high standard.
- To review and act on customer feedback relevant to the areas of responsibility, including ensuring all customer complaints are resolved to a high standard and to the satisfaction of customers, and are dealt with in timely manner.
- To be responsible for the ordering of cleaning products, equipment and supplies within budget. To liaise with external suppliers to ensure the best possible prices and service are sourced.
- To carry out stocktaking in all areas of the housekeeping department.
- To be responsible for housekeeping linen services within budget, and linen stock control.
- To ensure all stock and property belonging to the company are kept secure at all times and all correct procedures are carried out regarding the security of the buildings.
- To ensure regular deep cleans are carried out and recorded in all areas of the housekeeping department.
- To ensure relevant equipment in the department is serviced and regularly maintained in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations.
- Spot check the First Aid boxes within housekeeping department to ensure they are fully stocked report missing items to the Leisure Manager.
- To be responsible for Health and Safety of accommodation, facilities and equipment. This will be include smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm checks.
- To be responsible for the housekeeping key asset register.
- To champion open communication and improve this throughout your areas within your remit.
- To act as an ambassador for the business and ensure that the company is promoted externally at every relevant occasion.
- To perform any other duties as required by the company to ensure the successful and efficient running of the Departments within the remit of your role.
Education Training and Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Previous experience of managing and leading a team

- Excellent communication and people skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and high organisational skills
- Must hold a UK driving license
