About The Role:

Responsible for creating an environment where everyone returns home safely. Championing safety best practices by identifying potential hazards, developing proactive strategies, and working collaboratively with diverse teams to provide guidance and support to drive a safety-first mindset through our organisation.

Main responsibilities

• Drive the improvement of operational HS&E behaviour and performance through innovation, initiatives and campaigns that promote best practice and facilitate engagement whilst ensuring individual ownership and accountability.
• Using your health and safety knowledge to provide confident expert coaching, advice, and guidance to key stakeholders, working in collaboration to drive continuous improvement.
• Foster a positive safety culture by promoting open communication and ensuring that safety is top-of-mind for every team member.
• Developing and implementing H&S policies, risk assessments, COSHH assessments and other relevant documentation in accordance with relevant legislation and corporate standards.
• Responsible for ensuring that business activities are delivered in compliance with statutory requirements. This includes providing professional advice, guidance, and assistance to operational staff in the implementation of the company’s occupational HS&E practices to ensure that the risks of activities and workplaces are appropriately controlled.
• Demonstrable experience of creating initiatives to reduce and prevent incidents and accidents.
• Ensure records are up to date and accurate
• Lead engaging safety training sessions, empowering employees with the knowledge and skills to handle various situations confidently.

What we need from you

• Proven professional experience in occupational HS&E management (preferably within hospitality sector).
• Experience with H&S management software systems.
• Be highly accurate with good attention to detail and to be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Relevant professional qualifications and membership IOSH/NEBOSH or willing to work towards.
• Experience in completing H&S management audits and implementing action plans to meet audit findings.
• Track record in reviewing and developing H&S policies, procedures and recommending best practices.
