Kents Cavern

Going underground

Travel back 400 million years at Kents Cavern. Kents Cavern is one of Europe’s top prehistoric Stone Age caves. Home of magnificent beasts, ancient humans and watch out for the sabre-toothed tigers!

The caves are great to visit whatever the weather.  They are at a constant temperature of 14 degrees and are thought to be the warmest caves in Britain. The only way to explore the caves is by booking onto one of the tours which they run. Your group will be taken through the cave system by an expert guide who will highlight all the key geological features and describe how the caves have changed through time.
