Vintage Beverley Holidays

Our Story

Once upon a time, builder and caravan enthusiast Joseph Stanley Jeavons and his wife Marion had a dream of opening a caravan park in Devon. And so our story begins…

In 1956, they brought 21 acres of farmland in Goodrington, on the outskirts of Paignton with beautiful views over the Bay, and moved from Womborne in Staffordshire with their three sons Peter, Alan and Michael. The dream officially begun when Beverley Park opened its doors to happy holidaymakers in search of sun and sea air in 1959 with just 10 caravans, a few tents and a shop – with the famous Beverley Sisters as the inspiration for the name!

In 1975, the successful family run park was awarded five-star status, an accolade which at the time had only be bestowed upon four other parks in England.  Over the years, Beverley Park grew and more parks and land was purchased, which eventually became Beverley View and Beverley Bay.

Fast forward to 2024 and our holiday parks are proud to be celebrating over 65 years of award-winning holidays on the English Riviera – an achievement which can be traced back to its ‘one big happy family feel’ which sees many guests returning year after year.

Having expanded and evolved over the years, today Beverley Holidays has a mix of holiday caravans, luxury holiday lodges, touring and camping pitches and privately owned holiday homes. Plus a multitude of facilities and activities, from indoor and outdoor swimming pools, top class family entertainment to bars and restaurants.

But one thing remains the same – our family of holidays parks are still very much a family business, with Beverley Holidays now in its fourth generation of the Jeavons family!

We wish you a wonderful stay at Beverley Holidays.
