The English Riviera Airshow 2025 is scheduled from Friday, 30th May to Sunday, 1st June 2025. This weekend offers a perfect opportunity to enjoy the early summer weather while witnessing some of the most impressive aerial performances.

4) What Aircraft Are Flying? What About the Red Arrows?

The English Riviera Airshow 2025 promises an exciting weekend as the RAF Red Arrows, RAF Typhoon, and RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight are all confirmed to appear on both Saturday and Sunday. This year’s show will be especially poignant as it marks the 80th anniversary of VE Day, adding an extra layer of significance to the aerial displays. While the full programme is still being finalised, visitors can look forward to a memorable mix of military and civilian aircraft taking to the skies. 5) Is the Airshow Free? Do I Need to Buy a Ticket?

Yes, the English Riviera Airshow is free to attend, making it accessible to all. While there’s no admission fee, donations are welcomed to support local charities and help sustain the event. For those driving to the event, it’s advisable to pre-book parking to guarantee a spot. Premium parking options are available, which often include additional perks such as official programmes and limited-edition badges.

6) What is the Timetable? What Time Does It Start?

The detailed timetable for the 2025 air show will be released closer to the event, but general flying times are –

  • Friday 30th May: 20:55 – 21:25
  • Saturday 31st May: 14:00 – 16:00 / 16:30 – 17:55
  • Sunday 1st June: 12:00 – 13:15 / 13:50 – 14:55 /  15:20 – 16:15

For the first time, this year’s event begins on Friday 30th May at 20:55 with the Spitfire IX RR232 flying over as the sun sets. This is followed by The Fireflies‘ spectacular pyrotechnic display at 21:10 with a grand fireworks finale at 22:00.

Flying on both Saturday 31 May and Sunday 1st June are the following military and civilian aircraft and displays –

RAF Red Arrows: The Red Arrows, officially known as the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, are one of the world’s premier aerobatic display teams.

RAF Typhoon: The Typhoon has been in service with the RAF since 2003 and continues to be a cornerstone of the UK’s air defence capabilities.

RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight: The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) is a living tribute to the brave aircrew who fought during World War II.

Royal Navy Black Cats: The Royal Navy’s official helicopter display team, thrills audiences with their dynamic and precise flying displays. The team flies the AgustaWestland Wildcat HMA.2

Army Red Devils: The Red Devils perform a variety of skilled and precise formations during their free-fall descent, including the famous ‘stack’ and ‘diamond’ formations.

Rich Goodwin – G-JPIT: Rich Goodwin performs in his highly modified Pitts Special, known as the “Muscle Biplane.” You’ll see high-energy aerobatics with dynamic manoeuvres that showcase the aircraft’s impressive capabilities

Team Raven (x5): Team Raven is a formation aerobatic display team flying Vans RV-8 aircraft. Their performances feature tight formations, precision flying, and smoke trails that create stunning visual effects in the sky.

Aerosuperbatics Wingwalkers: The Aerosuperbatics Wingwalkers are known for their breath-taking acrobatics performed on top of 1940s Boeing Stearman biplanes. Expect to see daring handstands, loops, rolls, and close formation flypasts.

Melanie Astles Extra 330: Mélanie Astles, a top aerobatic pilot, performs in her Extra 330SC aircraft. Her displays feature precise aerobatic manoeuvres, showcasing her skill and the aircraft’s agility.

​​​​​The Fireflies: The Fireflies Aerobatic Display Team performs with two Van’s RV-4 aircraft, featuring stunning twilight pyrotechnic displays. Expect to see synchronized aerobatics with wingtip pyrotechnics and coloured LED lighting – on Friday 30 June (evening performance) and daytime performances Saturday and Sunday.

Spitfire: Spitfire IX RR232 operated by Spitfires.com, now known as the ‘City of Exeter’, is an iconic British fighter aircraft.

Harvard Aircraft: A Legacy of Training Excellence – The Harvard aircraft, an advanced single-engine trainer, played a pivotal role in preparing aircrew during World War II,

7) What’s on Paignton Green?

8) Where Can I Park? Are There Road Closures?

Parking for 2025 has now been released.
