Beverley’s Charity of the Year

The big-hearted team at Beverley Holidays has named Play Torbay as its ‘Charity of the Year’ in a bid to raise smiles and stacks of cash for the Torbay-based children’s charity initiative.

Our family-run holiday park group has set itself the ambitious target to raise at least £5,000 for the small charity which promotes the importance of outdoor play for children’s mental and physical wellbeing.

Just The Beginning…

We kickstarted the charitable partnership by inviting members of Play Torbay’s ASRUS Club to our Starlight Entertainment Bar for a special showing of its brand-new Aladdin pantomime.

Made up of young people from across Torbay who have Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASD), club members were wowed by Beverley’s talented troupe of entertainers who granted their wish in true genie style.

Provided free of charge, the pantomime proved a hit among attendees who were joined by their parents, carers and siblings in what is the first of many charity initiatives to take place throughout 2024.

Brand New Sensory* Activities…

We are also set to launch a range of daytime activities this Easter catering specifically for guests holidaying with children with Special Education Needs (SEN).

Our all-new Sensory+ activity will give younger SEN guests the chance to play alongside our Beverley Entertainers in a calm environment, plus relaxing story time and mini mover sessions with its mascots.

About Play Torbay…

Play Torbay supports and encourages children to play and be active outdoors, particularly those from disadvantaged communities and who have been affected by adverse childhood experiences.

As well as hosting a regular calendar of events at its two playgrounds, the charity’s weekly forestry school sessions provide a safe, social space for home-educated children to interact outdoors.

As a third-generation holiday park group that has been providing memorable holidays for countless families over its 66 years, we’ll be asking guests to dig dip for the charity in 2024.
