Beverley Holidays has raised £3,640.70 for Rowcroft Hospice in 2022 after it was tasked with the challenge of drumming up funds for the Torbay charity as part of its 40@40 Corporate Supporters Club.

The family-run holiday park was one of an exclusive club of 40 local businesses which pledged to each raise £1,000 for Rowcroft Hospice as part of a fundraising initiative to mark the charity’s 40th birthday.

Beverley Holidays’ Entertainment Team took on the charity challenge, calling upon holiday park guests and owners alike to dig deep in their pockets through a series of wild and whacky challenges.

Over the Summer Holidays, Beverley Holidays invited guests to grab their best gladrags and head to its Starlight Bar for a series of fundraising fancy dress nights themed around the 80s, 90s and Carnival.

And in August this year, the holiday park’s growing community of holiday home owners showed their generous side by supporting the local charity at its annual Owners’ Party In The Park event.

Entertainment Manager Paul said: “As our chosen charity for 2022, we were thrilled to join up with Rowcroft Hospice for their 40th birthday and show our support to such a brilliant local cause.

“We were delighted to smash our target of £1,000 and go above and beyond for something that’s close to Beverley Holidays’ heart – a huge thanks to everyone for their kind donations.”

Celebrating its 40^th year in 2022, Rowcroft Hospice has grown from humble beginnings to become a leading charity in South Devon caring for more than 2,000 people with life-limiting illness.

Family run Beverley Holidays in Paignton will soon be blowing out the birthday candles too, with the holiday park celebrating 65^th years of welcoming guest to the South Devon’s sunny shores in 2023.
