1. Hollywood Bowling

Strike it lucky at the brilliant 10 pin bowling alleys in Torquay. Family members of all ages can enjoy a game of bowling linked up with a meal in the near by restaurant and a go on all the latest arcade games.

You can also choose to upgrade to a VIP bowling experience. Enjoy comfy lounge seating and extra little touches like pool style bowling balls and funky coloured pins.

2. Splashdown Quaywest

For the ultimate water park adventure in Devon head to Splashdown. Located close to our holiday parks in Paignton, the water flume park provides a fantastic day out for teenagers.

There are 8 flumes to zoom down and the new shipwreck island aqua play making it the UK’s biggest outdoor waterpark. Hop on a matt or rubber ring and slip and slide down the heart racing rides.

As this is an outdoor water park, Splashdown is open in the summer months only. Check their website for opening times.

3. Torquay Museum

If you’re searching for things to do in Torquay for teenagers, a visit to the local museum might not be top of their list. However if you pay a visit to Torquay Museum you might be surprised by all the fun activities suitable for young adults which are on offer.

There are lots of exhibitions, activities, events, lectures and outdoor activities to discover. Torquay Museum holds more than 350,000 items, of which only about 1% is on permanent display. They have over 400 artefacts from Ancient Egypt, the core of which form the permanent Egyptology exhibition in the Explorers Gallery.

For youngsters interested in geology, the Museum’s palaeontology stores hold over 34,000 specimens collected from local caves.

4. iBounce Trampoline Park

Although based just outside Torquay in Newton Abbot, this one is worth bouncing along to.

Open all year round, this modern trampoline park is a great indoor activity for teens come rain or shine. The space is full interlinked trampolines in the free bounce zone. Next to this is the dodgeball zone which is brilliant as a team game area. There is also a giant airbag perfect for a group bounce session. They have also recently opened a new 1.5m launch platform.

5. Vue Cinema Torbay

Catch a big screen blockbuster at the Vue Cinema Torbay which is located just down the coast from Torquay in Paignton.

A visit to the cinema has always been a firm favourite with teenagers. Drop them off for a few hours to watch the latest teen smash hit movie. There’s plenty of leg room in the comfy seats and the friendly staff will make you feel welcome.

Another great reason to visit is that tickets are just £4.99 if you buy them online.

6. Amusement Arcades

For the screen addicts in your family there are lots of options for them to get their fix at the local arcades.

Whether it’s air hockey, driving simulators or penny nudgers, teenagers will love spending some of their holiday time in the glow of an amusement arcade.

8. Go Ape

A little further afield but well worth a trip… Get your teenage tribe to unleash their inner primate and take to the trees at Go Ape in Haldon Forest near Exeter. After a safety briefing anyone with a head for heights can explore the forest canopy on the tree top rope course.

For those who prefer to keep closer to ground level you can hire bikes and embrace Haldon Forest’s thrilling free cycle trails.
