For those of you travelling with a toddler in tow, you can breathe a big sigh of relief that your little whirlwind will be well catered for here at Beverley Holidays. Home to more tourist attractions than any other seaside resort in the UK, the English Riviera’s endless choice of days out will be sure to keep temper tantrums at bay by ensuring your tiny tot is kept well and truly amused every day of your stay. Here are a few of our favourite toddler-friendly attractions:

Occombe Farm

Old Macdonald may indeed have had a farm but it would be hard-pushed to beat the Bay’s very own version. Occombe Farm in Paignton has long been a popular choice among families but having recently re-opened following a huge makeover, it’s now topping every parent’s to-do list. Pairing farmyard fun including an animal encounters barn and animal paddocks trail with a huge indoor play area, it’s a great place for little ones to let their hair down, with mum and dad well catered for too with the lovely farm shop and café.

Paignton Zoo

Let your little one unleash their inner animal with a trip to Paignton Zoo, home to more than 2,000 animals, plants and brilliant outdoor play areas and Jungle Fun indoor soft play. An entire day out in its own right, your toddler will love the freedom that Paignton Zoo affords for them to run around spotting all the different species from roaring lions to towering giraffes, with its outdoor play areas and a wobbly bridge offering an hour of fun. Visiting on a rainy day, don’t let that dampen your spirits as the Jungle Fun soft play is huge with three play zones, plus a café packed with plenty of snacks to keep you fuelled up for the day’s activities.

Babbacombe Model Village

Let your little one discover what it’s like to be the biggest for a day with a trip to Babbacombe Model Village, pipped as one of Europe’s premier model villages. They’ll love pointing out the 400 miniature models of houses, shops and landmarks, while adults will be equally entertained by the stunning four acres of gardens. The top Torbay attractions have also recently added a brand new 9-hole crazy golf course, plus look out for seasonal displays including Christmas events and late-night illuminations.

Dartmouth Steam Railway

What toddler doesn’t love a choo choo train? Climb aboard Dartmouth Steam Railway and be transported on a journey the whole family will love as the Harry Potter-worthy steam train takes you a trip along the glorious South Devon coastline. For the added touch of excitement, book it’s Round Robin ticket and watch your little ones’ eyes light up as you pair your train trip with a ride on a riverboat and bus visiting Paignton, Dartmouth and Totnes along the way. There’s no way we couldn’t include this one on our list of toddler-friendly attractions!

Paignton Seafront

No trip to Beverley Holidays would be complete without heading down to nearby Paignton seafront for a fun-filled day out on its famous pleasure pier, before burning off some of that endless toddler energy at the Geo Park.  Tread the boards of the traditional seaside pier, trying your luck on the 2p machines, before scoffing down some delicious fish and chips while mum and dad soak up stunning views of the sandy beach and quaint harbour.

Don’t forget, Beverley Holidays is toddler heaven in its own right having upped the fun factor with the opening on our brand new Land Ahoy Adventure Island, complete with seaside-inspired play park and mini golf course. Plus, not forgetting daytime activities the little ones will love in the peak months, plus indoor and outdoor swimming pools where pre schoolers can splash around in. We think it’s one of the best toddler-friendly attractions in the area.
