Popular with visitors whether you are wanting an action packed day out with the kids or to relax and sunbathe on the beach. Preston is generally quieter compared to the main Paignton and Goodrington Beaches.
The gently sloping sands are ideally suited for young children. They can play games and have fun in the shallows without the worry of any underwater shelves to navigate. Preston is a designated a dog friendly beach during the winter.
Along the top of the pavement you can enjoy the long rows of beach huts. All have different coloured doors and in the evening coloured lights which are lovely to see once the sun has set. There are plenty of kiosks and takeaway options to choose from should you need refuelling with a drink, ice cream or some tasty fish and chips.
