Sometimes the only predictable thing when you go on holiday is the unpredictable weather! Fortunately, we are blessed with many dry days in South Devon. However, it wouldn’t be typical English weather if we didn’t get the odd spell of wet days. However, all is not lost if you find yourself on holiday with us and the weather is not sunny. Paignton Zoo
One of the best known and loved attraction in the town is Paignton Zoo Environmental Park. It is home to a wonderful array of animal species from across the world. If the rain does start to come down then there are a number of indoor areas which you can take shelter. These include amphibian ark, rhino house and crocodile swamp.

Splashdown Quaywest
If you’re going to get wet from the rain why not go the whole hog and immerse yourself in water at Splashdown Quaywest waterpark?! Enjoy the 8 adrenalin-pumping flume rides. Open between May and October. Best of all it’s located just 5 minutes down the road from us!

Torbay Golf Centre
Improve your golf swing whatever the weather. The driving range at Torbay Golf Centre has 23 undercover floodlit bays, a swing studio and a grassed area outside. It has various targets and distance markers down range. They include a unique ‘Trotters’ yellow van at 145 yards, tyres at 80 and 150 yards, a large green at 160 yards and rugby posts at 100 yards. There’s also a cafe available for refreshments after your time on the range.
