Silver Success at the Taste of the West Awards – A Proud Moment for The Jetty

We’re absolutely delighted to share some exciting news – The Jetty Lounge, Bar & Terrace at Beverley Park has been awarded a Silver Award in the Restaurant category at the 2026 Taste of the West Hospitality & Retail Awards.

For us, this recognition means so much more than a trophy. This is the first year we’ve been members of Taste of the West, making this achievement even more special. To receive a Silver Award at our very first attempt is something we’re incredibly proud of and a fantastic testament to the passion, commitment and dedication of our entire Food & Beverage team.

Recognising the Best of the South West

Taste of the West is one of the region’s most respected food and drink organisations, celebrating businesses that champion quality, sustainability and locally sourced produce. The awards aren’t based on applications alone – restaurants are visited anonymously by expert judges who experience everything exactly as any other guest would.

That means our award was earned through a genuine dining experience, with judges assessing everything from the quality of our food and service to our atmosphere, local sourcing and value for money.

Knowing that our everyday standards impressed the judges makes this recognition even more rewarding.

A Huge Thank You to Our Incredible Team

Behind every great meal is a great team.

Whether they’re preparing dishes in the kitchen, welcoming guests, serving tables or ensuring every detail is just right, our Food & Beverage team work incredibly hard throughout the season to create memorable dining experiences for every visitor.

The judges praised our friendly service, the relaxed atmosphere and the beautiful presentation of our food, describing The Jetty as a “lovely place, good value and good quality food” with “strong foundations clearly in place.” They also highlighted our stunning setting overlooking Tor Bay and the care that’s gone into creating a welcoming restaurant both inside and out.

Receiving this award is recognition of the countless hours our team put in every single day, particularly during the busy summer months, and we couldn’t be prouder of them.

Celebrating Our Fantastic Local Suppliers

One of the things we’re most passionate about at Beverley Holidays is supporting local businesses.

From the very beginning, we’ve believed that using outstanding local ingredients not only creates better food but also helps support the incredible producers that make Devon such a fantastic food destination.

The Taste of the West judges recognised this commitment, commenting that our local sourcing is “comprehensive” and praising our website for showcasing our local suppliers.

We’re fortunate to work with some brilliant local businesses, including:

• Halletts The Bakers, whose freshly baked breads help complete many of our dishes.
• Bays Brewery, whose award-winning Devon ales are enjoyed by guests throughout the season.
• Bailey’s & Sons Butchers, adding award winning sausages and steaks to our menus
• Alongside many other wonderful local suppliers who provide everything from meat and vegetables to seafood, dairy products and drinks.

Every supplier plays an important part in helping us deliver the quality our guests expect, and this award is very much theirs to celebrate too.

The Mystery Shop Experience

One of the unique aspects of the Taste of the West Awards is that restaurants are judged through a completely anonymous mystery visit.

The judges booked a table, ordered food, experienced our service and enjoyed the restaurant just like any other guests. Only at the end of their visit did they reveal who they were.

Their feedback praised many aspects of the experience, including:

• Beautifully presented food.
• A welcoming and relaxing restaurant with stunning views across Tor Bay.
• Friendly, attentive service.
• Great value for money.
• Well-cooked, enjoyable dishes with plenty of choice.

Receiving such positive comments from experienced independent judges gives us great confidence that we’re delivering the experience we strive for every day.

More Than Just The Jetty

While we’re incredibly proud of The Jetty’s success, it’s just one part of the fantastic food and drink experience available across Beverley Holidays.

Guests can enjoy a variety of dining options during their stay, from relaxed meals at The Saltwater Kitchen, Bar & Terrace to family favourites from The Catch Takeaway, alongside drinks, entertainment and casual dining at our other venues. Whatever the occasion, our aim is always the same – to serve great food, provide friendly service and create memorable holiday experiences.

The Silver Award is a wonderful achievement for us and it’s something the whole Beverley Holidays team can celebrate. It reflects our wider commitment to quality, investing in our food and drink offering, and showcasing the very best local produce from across Devon.

Looking Ahead

The judges concluded that The Jetty has “strong foundations” and suggested that we’re well placed to work towards achieving Gold in the future – that’s certainly an ambition we’ll be working towards.
